There is something extra special about decorating for twins. Everything is doubled — the anticipation, the excitement, the squeals when they walk in and see the room. For this celebration, the family went with a cactus theme — playful, colorful, and just unexpected enough to feel truly unique. Our team built the full setup from scratch, and the result was a room that felt like a little desert garden had bloomed right inside a Manhattan preschool.

The Star of the Setup: A Handcrafted Balloon Cactus Sculpture
The handcrafted balloon cactus sculpture up close — green balloons, red and yellow balloon flowers, and a gold foil "3" on top. Built by our Manhattan team. 🎈
The centerpiece of the entire setup was a life-size balloon cactus sculpture — green balloons packed together in the classic cactus silhouette, with little red and yellow balloon flowers blooming along the arms, and an oversized gold foil "3" perched on top. It stood tall in the preschool space and was immediately the thing every child ran toward the moment they walked in.
This kind of handcrafted sculpture takes real skill and time to build — every balloon is placed intentionally, the arms are structured to hold their shape, and the flower details are twisted and secured by hand. There's no kit for this. It's entirely made from scratch by our team.

The Full Setup: Every Element That Made the Room
The cactus sculpture was just the start. The full installation included several elements working together to fill the preschool space and create that immersive birthday feeling:
- Handcrafted Balloon Cactus Sculpture — The showstopper. Green balloon body, balloon flower details in red and yellow, gold foil "3" on top. Freestanding on a weighted base.
- Tall Foil Cactus Balloons — Giant printed foil cactus balloons, standing several feet tall, flanking the table setup. They add height and a different visual texture alongside the handmade sculpture.
- Cactus-Print Latex Bouquets — Balloon bouquets mixing cactus-printed latex with solid colors — weighted to the floor and scattered across the space to carry the theme from every angle.
- Gold Foil Number "3" — Oversized gold foil number balloons are a birthday essential. For twins turning three, the "3" does double duty — it's the number for both of them, and it photographs beautifully as a room anchor.
